" Yoga asana", what is the real meaning of yoga? It is derived from a Sanskrit word "yuj" means "to unite or to join" and also "to subjugate (to take fully under control)". Firstly let's understand what are the ways to workout in our daily lives. 1. Jogging 2. Gyming 3. Yoga these three are the basic ways to work out for our body let's understand the effects and side effects of these techniques of working out. "Jogging" it is the best way to catch hold on calories also improving your cardiovascular health. Recently a Duke Medical research found that jogging beats weight training and getting rid of belly fat. Jogging is also helpful in getting a slim and lean body but in some recent studies some of the side effects have also been recorded like Jogging can give serious injuries if not taken care of the joints. Due to jogging it is also been recorded that jogging can also cause temporary damage to the right ventricle. Jogging also causes skeletal face due to the excess burn off of too much fat beneath your face skin and loss of fatty tissue results in a loss of volume which leads to appearance of bones which lately leads to wrinkles. So let’s consider that jogging has both good and bad side effects on the body. Now let’s talk about "Gyming", we all know very well how fast gyming works on our body let it be from weight loss to weight gain , body shaping to body toning , muscles building to body building, in everything it gives fast results than any other way of working out but it has very deep side effects on our body. People who have done gyming for a long time and then left will know very well that after leaving the gym our body gains weight like anything. Intense workouts also lately develop joint pains, slowly you will lose your strength, will develop muscle pain. Gyming also lately affects your heart fitness. Gyming with no proper nutritious diet can cause so much bad effect that we can't even think of it causes so much mineral loss that is equal to impossible to regenerate it again in our body. These days muscular body and six pack abs have become a style statement in youth and gyming is the topmost style statements for youth today. People these days have ignored the natural ways to stay fit. "Yoga asana". It is a very ancient technique developed around 5000 years ago by the Indus Sarasvati civilization in northern India. The word yoga asana was first mentioned in the oldest sacred texts, the Rig Veda. Yoga asana is a total body workout what gyming and jogging gives you in such huffing and puffing manners yoga can also give but in more peaceful and safe way. Yoga asana helps you get rock hard abs, toned and flexible body, strong back. Yoga asana helps you to understand breathing properly. When we perform several yoga asana we are taught to breathe in and out in certain pace and manner this repeated controlled technique of breathing helps supply a large amount of oxygen to all parts of body which leads to healthier muscles and healthier skin. A study published in one of the journal of American dietetic association found that practicing yoga can actually help promote mindful eating. Except this yoga asana has many benefits like stress busting, boosts immunity, protects injuries, beats migraine and also helps in obtaining better sleep. So, instead of the new trendy techniques which harms our body a lot for a few things we need to focus on the cultural ways which have been practiced by years and years and have a lot of advantages for us. Fitness means fit and unfit in my point of view. These days people remain fit for being unfit in future , as if we are fit now then there can be no chance of being unfit in future so people need to understand the difference between being fit and assuming that they are fit. These days people have no proper schedule or no schedule at all. From childhood we have been taught about "Early to bed early to rise makes a person Healthy, Wealthy and Wise." but unfortunately the lessons we were taught were never implemented. Morning time is most powerful time of the day at that point of day the nature is very strong and the people who wake up and exercise/work/study at that time gets more energy than any other time of the day. Mostly people nowadays sleep at most powerful time of the day and miss out the energy nature gives to them. These days people don't have scheduled life at all, people go for work after office instead of spending time with family and friends they go in some bar and disc and booz and go home late at night and sleeping late at night that tends to waking up late in the morning. People who are living this type of life seems to enjoy their life and think they are fit but actually nor they are fit by body neither mentally or emotionally. For staying fit one should have a proper schedule of everything. in this era there is a new trend going on, people with slim or muscular body are the given examples of a healthy person. Being healthy does not mean to be slim and muscular proper schedule diet and healthy mental health is the actual definition of a healthy person not the slim body which is having dozen of deficiencies of vitamins in the body. These days middle class gyms do not have a properly educated trainers with them if a customer comes to them and says that he or she wants a flat belly then the trainer tells them hundreds of exercises and never mentions that a body which is going through hard work out should also have proper food and nutrition to recover the burnt minerals in the body and after some days no doubt the person will have a flat belly but yes with some severe deficiencies in the body and then in few days the same person will be seen sitting on in front of doctor with some severe health problem. Might be when the person went to gym would have been healthy with no problems at all and the severe work out sessions burnt too many minerals in the body and the person was not knowing to balance it well. people need to understand this that having a belly is not a sign of being unhealthy or unfit. To understand anything well firstly we need to understand the base of it, in the same way to understand our body we need to understand the base of it. So what is the base of our body that it needs to work properly ? 1. Oxygen 2. Water 3. Food and we ignore these 3 things the most in our daily life. Breathing, it is the work we all day the whole day the whole time while sleeping, eating, talking whatever we do but accept it we are not aware of it. People talk of meditation a lot these days Meditation means "Dhyan" or "Awareness" we need not to learn any sort of special techniques of meditation if we just put our awareness on the small things we do whole day like breathing is one of them . Water, we drink water when we feel thirsty let us say 5-6 glass of water a day but do you know the adequate amount of water a person needs is 2-2.5 litre of water per day to make our body function properly. Drinking less amount of water can cause skin problems, unconsciousness, acidity, weakness in the body and a lot of problems. Food, there is a very big problem with food these days either people will not eat food at all or if they eat they will eat like anything out of their limits. Kids these days are addicted to junk foods. The amount of food that are both the hands can hold collectively is the adequate amount of food for us not less nor more than that. Skipping up of breakfast the most important meal of the day. In the morning metabolism of our body is at zero level and metabolic system of our body helps in burning fat in our body and by skipping the breakfast we make our body's minerals burn to compensate the energy in body. There are 3 "Tatvas" in our body which help us feel the way we feel about ourselves those three tatvas are "Tamas" tatva when increases, we feel drowsy, sleepy etc this state comes due to excess intake of non-veg or stale food. "Rajas" tatva when increases tends to mind and body's restlessness, too many thoughts no clarity confusions and caused due to excess intake of spicy, fried, junk ,cheesy foods. "Satva" it is the state of wow, beauty and luck. This state is gained when we have all the things balanced in our body. In the end winding all things up with “ Eat good Feel good and stay healthy”.
